As we learned in class, Elon Musk’s Neuralink is groundbreaking technology. We have seen that they have been testing on animals for a long time. For example, it was used to test spinal movement on a pig and also was used to have a monkey type with its mind. As of January 29th, Neuralink has had its first device successfully implanted in a human. Initial results of the testing show increased neuron spike detection. This is very promising. This could potentially allow people who are disabled to enjoy a normal life again.
