Did you know the telegraph was the first invention that allowed a message to be transferred without physically being moved? The telegraph was the first point to point digital communication system. It was first introduced in 1838 by Samuel Morse. It used a system called “Morse Code” that consisted of dots and dashes resembling letters of the alphabet. This was revolutionary because it allowed for errors to be caught and fixed quickly.
